These Terms govern your use of this website, operated by VP Energy (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the site you agree to them.
1. Estimates are not quotes
Everything these tools produce is an estimate. The figures are worked from published utility tariffs and from the information you provide. They are not a quote, not an offer, and not a guarantee of system performance, bill reduction or saving.
A real number depends on your roof planes, your shading, your utility rate plan, your baseline allowance, any discount you qualify for, and a site survey. No contract is formed through this website.
2. What the simulations assume
Where a page models solar production or battery dispatch, it does so using standard assumptions stated on that page — panel wattage, typical annual sun for the area, published time-of-use prices, and a representative battery capacity. Actual equipment, tariffs and output will differ. The assumptions are disclosed so you can judge them, not so you can rely on them.
3. Tax information is general
References to federal tax provisions, including Section 25D and Section 48E, are general information current at the time of writing. They are not tax advice, and your own position depends on facts we do not know. Consult your tax professional.
4. Use of the site
You agree to use this site lawfully, not to submit false information through any form, and not to interfere with its operation or with other people's use of it.
5. Your utility data
By uploading a bill or an interval-data file you confirm that you are the utility account holder or an authorised adult occupant of the property, and that you are entitled to share that information with us.
6. Intellectual property
The text, graphics, logos, calculations and design of this site are owned by or licensed to VP Energy and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce or distribute them, or create derivative works, without our written permission.
7. Third-party links
This site links to your utility's own website so you can retrieve your usage data. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VP Energy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this site or any estimate produced by it.
10. Licensing
VP Energy performs work under the contractor licences shown in the footer of this site. Installation work is carried out only under a written contract that includes the disclosures required by the state in which the work is performed.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
12. Changes
We may revise these Terms. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
